Here are instructions for your upcoming surgery.

Please read this carefully!

We have emailed you all the necessary information regarding your upcoming appointment (date, location and time of arrival papers). If you did not receive these, please let us know!

  • Before you go to the hospital, you have an appointment at our office, 719 West Hamilton Ave, Eau Claire, WI 54701.
  • After your office appointment you are scheduled for surgery at the OakLeaf Surgical Hospital, 1000 OakLeaf Way Altoona WI 54720.  The time of your appointment and your check-in time are very close, we schedule it this way on purpose.
  • If between now and the day you are scheduled, your cyst flares up, contact our office immediately with updated photos and a brief history.
  • There are certain vitamins and supplements that we would like you to start taking as soon as possible before surgery. Info about this can be found on this web page.
  • When you decide where to stay, mention that you are having surgery by Evergreen Surgical at the Oakleaf Surgical Hospital.  Some of the hotels in the area offer discounts to our patients.

Important Information about Preparing for Surgery

There are several documents that were sent to you by email. Please read everything carefully. There is paperwork that will need to be emailed or faxed back to us before your appointment.

Also:

  • It is important that you have a plan for drain removal unless you are staying in Eau Claire for removal. If you have been instructed to stay a full week, our doctors will often remove the drain before you go home.
  • We are often asked, “what do I need to bring for surgery?” This link that will tell you exactly what you should bring.
